Its Flat!

One theory which presumes to have 'scientific' evidence drives me absolutely crazy.

The flat earth society has been trying to spread the idea that the world is in fact flat. I have tried on several occassions to understand their reasoning, but I have failed to do so time and time again.

I consider myself a rather open-minded chap, but this society fails the logic tests every time. I can only chuckle at their belief and for all intensive purposes, I consider the society a joke.

Is this society for real and if it is, do people truly believe in the flat earth theory?

Someone try and make sense out of it because I for one have given up!

As Knyteowl can attest, I often give out scenarios or take in scenarios with situations that one person must defend, even if the idea is ridiculous. It is my wager that this is an idea concieved by a young mind to really just mess with a lot of people. I am fairly certain the youth doesn't believe his own words, but is curious to see how many others he could get to believe them. A social experiment, if you will. My guess is, though, that he's probably succeeded in convincing someone, if not a few people... But, that's a psychology lesson for another time.

Yes you do Trench. I have known about The Flat Earth Society for a while and even sent the link to Trench for his opinion when I first found it. I agree with the opinion that it is a youth trying to play with peoples minds. the interesting thing is that if you sound convincing enough and defend yourself well you can convince people of almost anything. For example, Jess (Trench's sis) and I convinced someone that water was not wet, it's dry. But I won't get into that whole thing now. It takes to long.

i don't even remember how we did that...

We went into chemistry and physics theory and had the guy so twisted around with theory that they ended up believing us.

Do you argue with females, or do you successfully argue with females? There is a difference.

I have to admit it also depends on the type of female. Are they emotional or logical?

There is no such thing as a logical female, that in itself would make it a miracle of faith.

You are amussing and in general I would have to agree that most all women are emotional. It is a rarity indeed to find a logical one that doesn't get bitchy but they do exhist.
